Volunteer With Us

We are looking for docents and volunteers who are friendly and outgoing, love Catawba Island and will be happy to help with questions and give information to the museum visitors. Many of our docents have some knowledge of the area already (though it’s not required) and they are often ready to share their own memories of life here “back when.” The time commitment is flexible and can be just a few hours each month. Volunteer duties include everything from simple projects of sorting and cataloging to assisting with research and answering history questions from guests and visitors.
